The project consists of the creation of a new faculty at the University of Aruba in the field of Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The new faculty will offer a bachelor and master degree in sustainability, a PhD program and a research institute. The project also includes a renovated Maria Convent and the curriculum for the new program. The UNDP (United Nations Development Program) together with the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, are the 2 partners who will be executing the program. SISSTEM will provide new opportunities for the young students to attend the STEM faculty while stimulating innovation and diversity in the economy.
