The Department of Rent and Consumer Affairs (DHC) warns consumers for unauthorized companies claiming to be insurance specialists

ORANJESTAD - The Department of Rent and Consumer Affairs (DHC) is warning the community against a company that provides consultancy and financial services and possibly providing incorrect information of the company’s objectives.

This company is pretending to be specialized in insurance and laws while they are not authorized  as such. They are approaching car accident victims while distressed, wounded or confused to obtain private information of the victim in order to claim representation and a compensation fee from the insurance companies.

The Department of Rent and Consumer Affairs (DHC) is advising the community be careful when providing private information to third parties. Private information should only be provided to your insurance company agent or verify if the third party company is working on behalf of your insurance company. Do not sign any document without reading it first and always demand a copy of any signed document.
